In collaboration with the National Population Commission (NPOPC), RULIN is working to ensure that children in the community receive official birth certificates, a crucial document for safeguarding their identity and future opportunities. Many of these children were either not issued a birth certificate at the time of their birth or have since lost their original copies, creating barriers to accessing essential services. This partnership aims to provide these children with a recognized record of their identity, which serves as a fundamental safeguard for their personal rights and well-being. By obtaining birth certificates, RULIN and NPOPC are enabling these children to secure their legal identity, which will help them gain access to critical services such as education, healthcare, and social protection, to assist in establishing a solid foundation for their development and security.
