Mr. Shedrack Monye

Mr. Shedrack Monye, MBA, ACII, ACIIN, ACIP, is the pioneer Chairman of Rural Linkage Network and a seasoned insurance professional with over four decades of experience. He began his career in 1981 with Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation after earning a Diploma in Insurance (Distinction) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. In 1986, he joined Metropolitan General Insurance Company Ltd as Lagos Office Manager and rose to become Managing Director/CEO, a position he held from 1992 to 2000. He later joined Diamond Bank Group in 2001 as CEO of DBLS Insurance Brokers Ltd, where he was tasked with facilitating the bank's acquisition of an insurance company.In 2007, he established KELSAN Insurance Brokers Ltd in partnership with Meridian Risk Solutions Ltd, Lloyds of London Brokers, focusing on international energy risk placements, particularly in the oil and gas sector. A distinguished scholar, he is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London (1988), the Insurance Institute of Nigeria (1992), and The Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria, and holds an MBA in Management from Enugu State University of Science and Technology Business School (1999). Currently based in London, he oversees the operations of KELSAN Insurance Brokers Ltd and his other investments in Nigeria while contributing to the strategic direction of Rural Linkage Network.
