Rural Linkage Network (RULIN), in collaboration with ECEWS, distributed essential start-up equipment to children participating in vocational skills training. This initiative helped in equipping these young individuals with the resources they need to excel in their chosen professions while still in training.
As part of RULIN’s mission to promote resilience and self-reliance, these OVC have been involved in various vocational programs designed to provide practical skills for sustainable livelihoods. Understanding the importance of hands-on experience and opportunities for income generation, RULIN supplied start-up packs pertaining to the specific skills these vulnerable children are pursuing.
The event, attended by Hon. Ehiwarior Jerry, Comr. Konyeme, members of Child Protection Committee, and other dignitaries. For many of these young individuals, the equipment serves not only as a practical tool but also as a beacon of hope and opportunity. With these resources, they can now begin offering paid services within their communities.
This initiative underscores the transformative power of vocational education and the value of strategic support. By investing in skills and resources today, we are laying the foundation for a generation of skilled, self-reliant individuals who can overcome challenges and lead fulfilling and productive lives.
